I would like to take this opportunity to
thank Staniel Cay Divers for their amazing hospitality and outstanding
diving. As an experienced dive traveler I have been to all of the well known
wall dive destinations and I must say that the wall diving off of Staniel
Cay not only exceeded my expectations, it was far superior to any wall
diving destination I have yet visited. The coral pinnacles and reef
structures on top of the wall stand alone as amazing dives with abundant sea
life and massive sponge formations everywhere. Curious schools of huge
snappers and massive groupers that have obviously never seen divers
surrounded me throughout every dive and that is only the beginning. Swimming
past the reef and dropping over the wall I experienced structure like I have
never seen on a wall...massive undercuts and swim-throughs leading back to
the top of the reef were abundant and held huge lobsters and tropicals of
every size, shape and color. One can't help but get the feeling while diving
here that you are experiencing a reef system that no one has ever seen
before...although I understand that there was once a Dive Operation here
back in the '70s so perhaps this is not the case. It is also worth noting
that Ray and Jake Leese (the father and son team that owns and operates
Staniel Cay Divers) bent over backwards to insure I received the type of
dives I wanted and allowed me to dive to my experience level. Thanks again
guys!
