A few words about Staniel Cay Yacht Club:
David, Susanna and Everyone at Staniel Cay,
Well, we did it again…just as we promised. Our trip this year was fantastic!
Bringing my brother and his fiancée made for a vacation to remember forever!
SCYC is officially our annual summer destination. This year the weather,
beaches, snorkeling, and the warm welcome from SCYC were extraordinary. Your
staff goes above and beyond to make us feel at home. And a big thanks to
Cliff for putting us on the fish…again! Please tell everyone hello and
thanks and that we’ll see them again next year!
| Thanks so much for everything. We
just had a blast. I’ve attached some pictures if you have room on
the Guest Corner…you don’t have to use all of them. Please try to
put the one of us w/ Cliff and the 16 dorado on there. He’s done us
well over the past two years with the fishing and I told him I’d try
to get that picture out there for him!

Great Exuma: Staniel Cay Yacht Club: "Relaxing Outpost"
This is a very well managed facility. We were two couples that came from
a business meeting on another island and spent three days at the Yacht
Club, after seeing it on the internet. The website photos of the
facility are exactly what this place looks like.

place....everyone was really fabulous...hired cliff two days...pv., carl,
mary...lovely people...susanna is in a perfect position...makes being
gracious and kind seem like it is the easiest thing on earth...the food
was great and what a treat to have our fresh fish both days cooked for
us....we can't wait to get back...loved the remoteness of it all...did
not realize the stress of phones, t.v.'s and computers until i got
back....thank you so much and will you please pass my thoughts on to

We just got back from visiting friends on their boat spending 2 nights
and parts of 4 days at your beautiful Marina/Resort and we have deemed it to
be the best vacation we have ever been on...cleanest, clearest water we have
ever seen anywhere in the western Caribbean! Pigs were great as was
Thunderball Grotto etc.! The list is endless! Also flew on your new Cessna
Grand Caravan...Best flight we have ever experienced on a small plane! Like
sitting in our living room!

The crew from “Happy Together” is continuing to re-live and re-tell their
time in the Bahamas from this year’s Christmas/ New Year Trip. Memories of
the Exumas’ great weather, beautiful water that made for great snorkeling,
and the cold drinks that brought many funny conversations, all stand out in
our minds. But the memory that is most recalled and brings the most laughs,
is New Year’s Eve on Staniel Cay; the Pig Roast, the sunset, the music, the
good company of friends, the party atmosphere, being in flip flops, dancing
on the bar… we owe our fantastic time to David Hocher and team! Thanks! And
we will be back to make many more memories.

WOW!!! My husband and myself with 2 other
couples went to Staniel Cay last year in October. We have had so much fun we
signed up for a week trip this year. I sit here wanting the months to just
fly by... The people on the island are so friendly, and really know how to
party with the whole family. We danced with the youngest to the oldest...By
the way don't plan on being on a diet because the people on the island can
make a mean meal...
I also have to say the people that work at the Yacht Club and wonderful. I
had some of the best meals I've ever had. Hello, LOBSTER, Conch, Crab fresh
everyday. I also can't wait to smell the sheets, towels, etc. I guess
because of the wonderful water (watermakers) everything is so fresh!!! Dave
is such a wonderful host, he just chilled with us and make you feel like
he'd known us for ever. Thank you for such a wonderful place and for
sharing...

Seasons greetings to my friends at The Club, especially Skis and his
wife if they are still there. My wife Joy and I consider our stays at
Staniel Cay in the Time For Joy the hilight of our cruises of the
Bahamas. I sold the Time For Joy to a former sailer named Pete who
changed its name to Moonshadow - you may have seen him there.
My memrory of the Exumas was stirred recently by a great new book by a
Boston cruiser - called Staniel Cay. It is a must read for anyone who
loves the Exumas.

We had the most amazing honeymoon at Staniel Cay.
We just returned from a seven night stay and wish we were still there.
Everything was truly amazing, from the cottage to the Kalik. The staff
made our visit feel like home away from home. The food was fantastic and

Last time I was in Staniel was 1979, spent winter there and had a
wonderful Christmas & New Years there between Yacht club & Kenny Rolle's
Royal Entertainer Bar. Staniel was a magical place then, hope to get
back one fine day!!

Hi to all the staff at SCYC. I have just returned back to the office in
Manchester - England and am feeling very down. The weather is very bad,
7 degrees and wet.
Having spent several days around the Cays
of the Exumas aboard my brothers yacht Tina my holiday was greatly
enhanced having spent time at SCYC. All the staff were very friendly,
the bar was a great place to enjoy a beer and the food fabulous.
Please advise PV that upon arrival at
Atlantis I was unable to find her sister as her bar was closed due to
redecorating.

I passed through while on a yacht delivery and got stranded for three
days due to the weather. This wasn't a bad thing tho' as I met some

Had the pleasure of visiting back in 1999.I've travelled to many islands
& lived in the Caribbean but have to say that my time on Staniel Cay was
by far the best vacation I've ever had! The fishing was incredible & the
people were some of the nicest I've ever met.The highlight was finding a
HUGE starfish(we released it) & a tritons trumpet shell-WOW! Highly

What can I say that expresses my love for your beautiful piece of Paradise?! My sister, Debbie and I, truly had the best vacation ever. (minus my 3 days in the "sick bay") The food was better than I could have asked for. The service was superb. Love to Rhonda and Desiree!! They made us feel like family. Just want to tell David, Catherine, Rhonda and all the other wonderful
staff what an awesome vacation my family and I spent with you. 3 days was
not nearly enough. I must come again soon and spend at least a
month or why not just move-on in. Anyways, from the superior food, to the
wonderful large cottage accommodations to snorkeling thunderball grotto
and diving the Exumas, I do believe this is is heaven! And let's not
forget that cold Kalik and rum punches to quench anybody's thirst. Great
island, great people. I especially enjoyed driving around the island via
golf cart. Certainly is a change of pace and beats driving cars. Thanks

Three friends and I visited your beautiful island in May of this year. It
was my first experience in the Bahamas and probably the best vacation I
have ever had. I live close enough to the ocean to visit on a regular
basis but have never seen water and ocean life as wonderful as I saw while
on Staniel Cay. The residents of the island were more than hospitable,
they made us feel completely at home during our stay. The rooms were great
(very clean and neat)and the food at the restaurant delicious. We were
able to visit other islands while on vacation and while they were all nice
to visit, they did not compare to Staniel. Our visit to the island was a
short one but I will make sure the next visit is much, much longer. I
would like to extend my thanks to Staniel and its residents for a stunning
